I'm Nick
Meadows.

a third-year mechanical engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh. I’m a creative human-centered designer who loves to build new things and get my hands dirty with technical project work.

As a teaching assistant for a class called ‘The Art of Making’ for the last two years, I’ve solidified my understanding of systems design and engineering by teaching other students. In this same class as a student, I invented a tool to teach motor skills to children with disabilities. At Carnegie Mellon’s Robotics Institute, I taught myself CAD to help improve autonomous subterranean drone designs.  I’ve also designed user interfaces for new data dashboards that helped power grid engineers better coordinate electricity generation while an intern at PJM interconnection.

In my free time, I enjoy binge watching Netflix shows, watching football and basketball, and reading books.
